Nova Studio

Media kit

The mark, and how to use it.

Files, colours, type and the rules that matter. Everything here may be used in editorial coverage without asking first.

Files

AssetFileUse for
Logo mark/brand/logo-mark-v2.svgThe planet mark alone. Use where the name is already present in the layout.
Wordmark/brand-logo.svgMark and name locked together. This is the default choice.
App icon/nova-mark.svgSquare, for favicons, app tiles and avatars.
Written guidelines/media/nova-studio-brand-guidelines.txtThe same rules as below, in plain text.

Everything ships as SVG. If you need a raster export at a specific size, or a version for a print stock that will not hold the ground colour, ask rather than converting it yourself — a badly traced mark is worse for both of us than an email.

Colour

RoleValueNotes
Ground#0B0B0DThe near-black everything sits on. Deliberately not pure black — pure black clips on OLED and the edge of the mark disappears into the panel.
Accent#E8D5B0One thing at a time. It marks the live state and the current step; it is never decoration, and never a fill for large areas.
Primary type#F6F7F9On ground. Secondary text steps down in luminance rather than changing hue.
Linergba(255,255,255,0.07)The rule weight used throughout the interface. Almost invisible, on purpose.

Type

Interface and marketing
Inter, or the closest available grotesque. Headings are set at regular weight with tight tracking rather than bold — the size does the work.
Code and codes
A monospace stack: ui-monospace, SF Mono, Menlo. Used for anything read one character at a time — a verification code, an API key, a prompt fragment.
Chinese
The system stack for the platform. We do not force a webfont for Chinese; the download cost is real and the system faces are good.

Rules

Clear space

Leave at least the height of the mark on all four sides. Nothing sits inside that margin — not other logos, not type, not the edge of the page.

Minimum size

20px tall for the mark on screen, 8mm in print. Below that the ring closes up and it reads as a dot.

On light backgrounds

Use the mark in the ground colour rather than inverting it to a mid grey. Contrast is the point of it.

On photography

Only over an area with even tone and enough contrast. If you need a scrim to make it legible, the placement is wrong.

Naming

"Nova Studio" is two words with both capitalised. Never "NovaStudio", never "NOVA STUDIO", never "Nova studio". On second reference "Nova Studio" is still correct; there is no approved short form.

"BOYU Labs" is the company. Use it where the legal entity matters — funding, filings, contracts — and "Nova Studio" everywhere the product is what is being discussed.

"NovaOS" is the platform layer under the product. It is a technical name that appears in the status page and the docs. It is not a second brand to place beside the first, and it is not a separate product anyone can buy.

Questions

Can I use the logo on a conference slide or a partner page?

For factual reference — "we use Nova Studio", "speaking at" — yes. For anything implying a formal endorsement or partnership, ask first.

Can I put the mark on merchandise?

Not without asking. It is not that we mind; it is that we would like to see it first.

Do you have a light-background version?

The same file works — set the mark in the ground colour. There is no separate light-mode asset because there does not need to be one.

Can I animate the mark?

A simple fade or scale on entrance is fine. Morphing it into another shape, or animating the ring as a loading spinner, is not.
