What a template gives you
A template is a graph with the connections already made and the inputs left open. A character sheet with an empty reference slot. A campaign board with one product node feeding six crops. A three-shot scene with the light shared between them.
You open it, drop your own reference into the slot, and run. The structure — which is the part that takes judgement to get right, and the part a new user does not yet have the vocabulary to design — is already there.
That matters more here than in most tools, because the value of this product is in the connections rather than the nodes. A template is not a shortcut past learning; it is a worked example you can take apart.
What is in the set
Character sheet
One identity reference feeding turnarounds, expressions and outfit variants. The canonical demonstration of why a shared reference beats a repeated description.
Campaign set
A product node feeding a hero and its crops, so one replacement updates the whole set in dependency order.
Scene and sequence
A location with shared light, three shots drawing from it, boarded on the director stage.
Style study
The same subject through several treatments, framed identically so the comparison is actually a comparison.
Material study
One view, several materials and times of day — the concept-design shape, useful well beyond architecture.
Blank with structure
An empty graph with the reference and treatment nodes already stubbed, for when you know the shape and want the wiring done.
Where to find them
- In the canvas
- New projects can start from a template rather than an empty surface.
- In Explore
- Templates published by the team and by other creators, with how many people have actually used each one — which is a better signal than a rating.
- Make your own
- Any project you build can be published as a template. The good ones are the ones you built for yourself twice and then cleaned up.
Questions
Does starting from a template lock me in?
No. It opens as an ordinary project in your canvas — a copy you own. Delete half of it if you want.
Do templates cost credits?
Opening one costs nothing. Running it costs whatever the runs cost, the same as any project.
Can I use a template for client work?
Yes. Templates are starting structures, not licensed content, and there is nothing in the output that traces back to the template.
Will a template break when models change?
The structure will not. A specific model reference inside a node may need swapping, which is a node-level change rather than a rebuild — that is the reason the adapter layer exists.
